Meet Mark Morgan
Arkansas Storyteller & Children's Book Author
Hello, and welcome.
I'm Mark Morgan, an Arkansas storyteller, children's book author, husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong believer in the power of imagination.
Although many people know me through my rhyming children's books, my love for storytelling began long before I ever published my first book. Some of my favorite memories come from growing up, listening to family stories, spending time outdoors, and learning lessons that couldn't be found in a classroom. Those experiences taught me that the best stories are often the simplest ones—stories about kindness, courage, hard work, family, and finding joy in everyday life.
Today, I call Arkansas home and draw inspiration from the people, places, and traditions that make small-town life special. Whether it's a front porch conversation, a fishing trip with family, a childhood memory, or a lesson learned the hard way, I believe every experience has a story worth sharing.
My children's books are written in rhyming verse and designed to entertain while also encouraging important values such as honesty, perseverance, responsibility, teamwork, confidence, and kindness. Through characters like Rusty the Can, Petal the Seed, Grandpa and Benny, and Unicorn Strong, I hope to create stories that children enjoy reading again and again while giving parents and grandparents opportunities to share meaningful moments together.
In addition to writing books, I enjoy creating free coloring books, activity pages, journals, family-friendly recipes, and blog posts that help families spend more time learning, creating, and making memories together. My goal has never been simply to sell books. My goal is to encourage imagination, strengthen family connections, and remind children that their dreams matter.
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me spending time with family, working on new story ideas, reading, enjoying the outdoors, or sharing nostalgic stories from Arkansas life and the lessons hidden inside them.

Thank you for visiting my website and supporting independent authors. I am honored to share my stories with your family and hope they bring smiles, laughter, and lasting memories for years to come.
